The prestigious Berklee College of Music has fired a top professor after he described Jewish people as 'sordid' and blamed them for the enslavement of black people. Former chair of the school's Brass Department Nicholas Payton confirmed his sudden firing in an Instagram post on Saturday - while claiming that he is the victim. Grammy-winning trumpeter Payton said he was told by two Berklee officials over Zoom that he had '24 hours to resign or be terminated' at 1pm on Wednesday.
